Beeswax Vapor Rub

Beeswax Vapor Rub

While this salve is commonly used in the winter months to relieve congestion, it feels great any time of year to put on your feet before bed, and works well to relieve a migraines when rubbed into your temples. Also - the eucalyptus and peppermint essential oils provide a great "pick-me-up," making this great to keep at your desk or to take along with you while visiting the in-laws.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz Shea Butter
  • 3 oz Almond or Coconut oil
  • 2 oz Stakich Beeswax
  • 1 oz Cocoa Butter
  • 20 drops eucalyptus essential oil
  • 20 drops peppermint essential oil
  • Double boiler
  • Small jar or tin for finished product

Directions

1. Combine all the ingredients in the top half of a double boiler.

2. Heat the ingredients over medium-low heat, stirring continuously, until the beeswax melts. Remove from heat. 

3. Pour into jars, while the mixture is still warm, and allow to cool and harden before using. (Yields approximately 14 oz of product)
