Summer is here and it is HOT out! When that is the case, I can't emphasize enough how important it is to stay hydrated (DRINK LOTS OF WATER!), but there are some times when plain ol' water just won't do the trick.
If you're out playing in 80+ degree temperatures, spending time in the sun, or simply need to replenish after a stomach bug, you'll be pleasantly surprised by how well this natural remedy can do the trick. Great for kids and adults alike!
*Fresh juice is recommended, especially fresh lemon or lime. If you want to replace the orange or grapefruit juice with fruit juice of your choice - go ahead! Pineapple, pear or mango juice all make for a delicious drink. Also - you can replace the water with coconut water for extra hydration.
Stir all of the ingredients together in a pitcher until it is thoroughly mixed. Store in glass bottles or mason jars.
If you don't have the time or resources to incorporate juice into your sports drink - there are lots of benefits to drinking Honey Water: Combine 1 tablespoon Stakich Raw Honey with 1 cup lukewarm water and stir until well combined.
Drinking Honey Water regularly has been associated with several health benefits such as immune system support, improved digestion, glowing skin and increased energy. Also effective to soothe a sore throat!
Cheers!
