Honey Glazed Salmon

Honey Glazed Salmon

I think its important to have a go-to salmon recipe on hand. The fish is not difficult to prepare, and always makes for an impressive dish. The nutritional benefit of it being a food loaded with Omega-3s is of course an added bonus. Check out one of my favorite ways to prepare this delicious fish by using Stakich Raw Honey and Soy Sauce to season it. This glaze can also be used to flavor chicken or steamed vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Two 6-oz Salmon Fillets
  • 3 Tbsp Soy Sauce or Soy Sauce Alternative
  • 3 Tbsp Stakich Raw Honey
  • Juice from 1/2 Lime, plus wedges for serving
  • Salt and Pepper for seasoning
  • 2 tsp Safflower Oil
  • Thinly slice scallions for serving (optional)

Directions

  1. Season fish with salt and pepper. Whisk together soy sauce, honey, and lime juice.
  2. Heat oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Place fish, skin-sides down, and cook until skin is crisp and fish becomes opaque halfway up sides, about 2 minutes.
  3. Flip the fillets, reduce heat to medium-low, and cook until just cooked through, about 1 1/2 minutes more. Transfer to a plate, skin-sides up.
  4. Heat a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add soy mixture and boil until darkened slightly and reduced to a glaze, about 1 minute.
  5. Remove from heat and immediately place fish in saucepan, gently flipping several times to evenly coat in glaze.
  6. Serve over rice or with sauteed broccoli or bok choy.
