Oatmeal Honey Mug Cake

Who can say no to a cake made with ingredients you can feel good about? This Oatmeal Honey Mug Cake does wonders for a sweet tooth that just needs to be satisfied. This sweet and simple recipe doubles as an excellent breakfast option for the next time you need a morning meal on the go!

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg 
  • 2 Tbsp milk or milk substitute 
  • 1/2 Tbsp nut butter
  • 1 Tbsp Stakich Raw Honey, plus extra to drizzle
  • 2 Tbsp quick oats
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • Optional garnish: Fresh berries, banana, chopped fruit, jam or chocolate chips

Directions: 

  1. Mix all ingredients together, excluding garnish, in your favorite mug.
  2. Microwave on high for 3-4 minutes. Cake will rise in mug while cooking. Allow 1 minute for cake to cool before removing from microwave. 
  3. Garnish with choice of topping, drizzle with honey and enjoy!
